Lt. Spencer Washom

Spencer is a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.  He is a 2006 SRVHS and 2010 UC San Diego graduate.  He graduated from Navy Officer Candidate School in 2011.  He is a Naval Flight Officer and Mission Commander with a P-3 Aircraft Squadron currently on deployment away from his home base of Kaneohe, Hawaii.  He is a TACCO (Tactical Coordinator) responsible for coordinating the tactical data of the operation of the aircraft and its systems.

Lt. Chip Tengler

Chip is a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.  He is a 2007 Monte Vista graduate and a 2011 United States Naval Academy graduate. He played on the Navy baseball team while a student at the Naval Academy.  He is a Naval Flight officer who began as a navigator and earned a promotion to TACCO (Tactical Coordinator) which puts him in charge of planning and managing their missions.  He is currently deployed in the Middle East.  He was recently chosen to be in a special pilot program and will be going back to flight school when he returns from deployment in September.  In 2013, he did search and rescue in the Philippines after the devastating Typhoon Haiyan struck their country.

2Lt. Cole Wisniewski

Cole is a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army.  He is a 2010 graduate of De LaSalle and a 2014 graduate of the University of Texas where he was in ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps).  He just finished infantry training in Fort Benning, GA and is currently serving as a Platoon Leader in the Texas National Guard, Airborne Long Range Surveillance unit in Terrell, Texas. 

Joshua Jenkins

Josh is a 2012 graduate of De LaSalle and just finished his sophomore year at the United States Military Academy at West Point.  He will earn his degree in Engineering System Management and will be a Second Lieutenant in the Army when he graduates.  He has been the starting cornerback (#3) for the Army West Point football team since his freshman year. 

L.Cpl. Kristopher Gallinatti

Kris is a Lance Corporal in the United States Marines.  He is a 2013 Monte Vista graduate.  He is stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA in the TSB Bravo Company, 2nd Platoon.  He is in the Heavy Transportation Support unit where they are responsible for driving 7 ton trucks.  He spent a month on the new ship, Montford Point, testing how the ship works in regard to how trucks are loaded and unloaded at sea.  Their platoon is classified as “immediate ready”, which means they could be deployed within a 24 hour notice.  Kris has wanted to serve in the military since he was a young child.  On the bench that his SRVCA class made in 8th grade, his tile has a drawing of a set of dog tags with the words, “All Give Some / Some Give All”.  The bench is still next to the playground at SRVCA today. 

Benjamin Elisha

Ben has recently enlisted in the United States Marines where he will serve in Logistics.  He will be graduating from Monte Vista in June and will leave to boot camp at Camp Pendleton in the fall.  Logistics is responsible for coordinating the strategic movement and maintenance of personnel, supplies, and equipment both on home bases and in combat areas.
