Dear Parents and Students,

I want to commend you for your desire and interest to enroll your child(ren) at San Ramon Valley Christian Academy . The Academy has been providing students with an outstanding and well-rounded Christian education since 1979. We have dual-accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The mission of SRVCA is to meet the educational needs - spiritual, academic, social and physical - of Christian families in the San Ramon Valley . In order to accomplish our mission, we begin with three intentionally biblical foundations:

#1: The Greatest Commandment Mark 12:30 says: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." (NIV). At the Academy we strive to develop students whose hearts, souls, minds and bodies are fully devoted to the Lord:

•  " with all your heart " - We want students to have a desire to please the Lord.

•  " with all your soul " - We want students to come to eternal salvation.

•  " with all your mind " - We want students to reach their academic potential.

•  " with all your strength " - We want students to reach their physical potential.

#2: Imago Dei Genesis 1:26-27 proclaims this profound truth: "Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness . . . so God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him.(NIV)'" IMAGO DEI means that everyone is created in the image of God. We want each student at SRVCA to know that everyone is a reflection of God, and therefore has eternal worth that must be respected. We want your child to learn this truth and to practice it among his/her friends just as our teachers seek to model it daily in the classroom.

#3 : Christian Worldview We want every student to have a biblical understanding and active application of how to act and think in a manner that honors God. At every level of the Academy, we will seek to teach your child to thoughtfully, intelligently and reasonably answer three basic worldview questions: 1) How did we get here? (Creation) 2) Why is the world in such turmoil (the Fall)? and 3) How can the world become a better place (Christ's Redemption)? We will seek to teach your child to learn and know God's answers for life and to wisely follow them.
