Qualifications:

Board Members must:

  1. Declare a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and regularly study God's word.
  2. Declare in writing their unconditional agreement with this Academy Charter.
  3. Have a common commitment to the principles which undergird Christian Education in general and the Academy in particular.
  4. Have a good reputation in the community for spirituality and sound judgment.
  5. Be able to allocate sufficient time and be committed to regular attendance at Board meetings.
  6. Have an aptitude for, or special knowledge in at least one area of Board operation.
  7. Meet the biblical qualifications for church leadership as listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
  8. Be able to work harmoniously with others who may have different opinions, support group decisions and have a willingness to serve others with love and humility.
  9. Understand that Board members have authority only as delegated by the Board and not as individuals.
  10. Have a commitment to the proper place of biblical discipline for the purpose of maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
  11. With the exception of the CPC Designated Leader, board members shall not be employees nor have immediate family members as employees of the Academy or CPC.
