TK
Our transitional kindergarten enrichment program gently introduces students to a variety of engaging experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and joy in learning. In physical education (PE), children practice movement, balance, and coordination through games and activities that encourage healthy habits and teamwork. Music invites them to sing, move, and play simple instruments while experiencing the joy of praising God through song. TK students will participate in two musicals throughout the year. In Studio Workshop, students explore colors, shapes, and textures as they begin expressing their creativity through hands-on projects. Weekly visits to the library nurture a love for stories and reading, while teaching responsibility in caring for books. In Tech Time, children are introduced to age-appropriate screen-free activities that support problem-solving, creativity, and safe exploration. Together, these enrichment experiences help students build a foundation for future learning while enjoying the gifts God has given them.

Kindergarten
Our kindergarten enrichment program introduces young learners to a variety of experiences that support their growth academically, physically, creatively, and spiritually. In physical education (PE), students practice basic motor skills, coordination, and teamwork while learning to honor God through active play. Music allows children to explore rhythm, song, and movement as joyful ways to worship the Lord. Students participate in two musicals throughout the year. In Studio Workshop, students experiment with colors, shapes, and textures, discovering creativity as a gift from God. Weekly library visits help nurture a love for books and stories while teaching students how to care for library materials. In Tech Time, children are introduced to age-appropriate tools that foster curiosity, problem-solving, and safe computer habits. These enrichment opportunities lay a strong foundation for learning and help students see every area of growth as a way to glorify God.

First Grade
Our first grade enrichment program is designed to nurture the whole child by providing engaging opportunities beyond the core classroom subjects. Students participate in physical education (PE) twice a week to build coordination, teamwork, and healthy habits. Music encourages creativity, rhythm, and a love for worship. Our first graders perform in both a Christmas musical as well as a Spring musical. Through Studio Workshop, students explore different mediums and techniques to express their imagination. Weekly visits to the library foster a love of reading, research skills, and responsibility in caring for books. In Tech Time, children are introduced to age-appropriate digital tools that support problem-solving, creativity, and safe computer practices. Together, these enrichment experiences help first graders grow academically, socially, creatively, physically, and spiritually as each student learns to embrace and use their individual God-given gifts.

Second Grade
In second grade, our enrichment program provides a well-rounded education while nurturing students’ hearts and minds in Christ. Physical education (PE) helps children develop strength, coordination, and teamwork while learning to honor God through healthy living. In music, students sing and discover how music can be used to glorify the Lord. Second graders take the lead roles in our Christmas and Spring Musicals. Through Studio Workshop, they express their creativity and explore God’s beauty in the world around them. Weekly library visits foster a love of reading and literature, encouraging students to seek wisdom and truth. In Tech Time, students use digital tools responsibly and develop essential keyboarding skills that will be needed throughout their years at SRVCA. Each enrichment area supports the academic, spiritual, and creative growth of our students, helping them to grow in both knowledge and faith.

Third Grade
In third grade, our enrichment program is designed to help students strengthen and grow their skills in every area while keeping Christ at the center of learning. In physical education (PE), students build endurance, coordination, and teamwork, learning to honor God with their bodies and attitudes. Through Music, our students receive instruction in music history, theory, and music appreciation. Our 3rd graders enjoy learning to read music and play the recorder. Third graders participate in both our Christmas and Spring Musicals. In Studio Workshop, students develop greater skill and attention to detail, using creativity as a reflection of God’s design and beauty. Weekly library time encourages deeper reading comprehension, research skills, and a love for stories that inspire and teach truth. Through Tech Time, students continue to expand their knowledge of digital tools, practicing responsible use and problem-solving as they prepare for future learning. Together, these enrichment opportunities help third graders grow in confidence, skill, and faith as they develop the gifts God has given them.

Fourth Grade
In fourth grade, our enrichment program encourages students to deepen their skills and apply them in meaningful ways, always pointing back to God as the source of their talents. In physical education (PE), students strengthen their fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork, learning perseverance and discipline. Music expands to include instruction in music history, theory, and music appreciation. Our 4th graders enjoy learning to read music and play the recorder. Fourth graders also participate in our Christmas and Spring musicals. In Studio Workshop, students refine techniques and explore different styles, using their creativity to reflect God’s beauty and truth. Weekly library time helps students grow as independent readers, strengthening research abilities and discernment in choosing literature. In Tech Time, students engage in projects that challenge their critical thinking, creativity, and responsible digital citizenship. Together, these experiences shape students to use their growing skills with purpose and to honor Christ in all they do.

Fifth Grade
In fifth grade, our enrichment program prepares students to use their developing skills with greater independence and responsibility, equipping them for middle school and beyond. In physical education (PE), students build stamina, strategy, and leadership while practicing teamwork rooted in respect and integrity. 5th grade Music provides an introduction to music history from the Baroque period all the way to the Contemporary period. The goal of our music program is to nurture our students’ creativity and their faith through music and the performing arts. Our 5th graders take the lead in both our Christmas and Spring musicals helping our students develop a strong sense of self and identity, while fostering empathy as they step into the shoes of their character. In Studio Workshop, students sharpen their craftsmanship and learn to express ideas with creativity and excellence as a reflection of God’s image. Weekly library visits support deeper comprehension, research for projects, and a growing appreciation for literature that shapes both heart and mind. In Tech Time, students take on more advanced tasks that encourage problem-solving, collaboration, and wise digital practices. Each enrichment area helps fifth graders grow as skilled learners and faithful followers of Christ, ready to use their gifts to serve Him.
