EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
In grades K-5, students develop a strong foundation in core academics to support a lifelong love for learning. Experienced teachers lead the students in enrichment classes including PE, Music, Studio Workshop, Technology, and Library in addition to exceptional daily academics. We celebrate and support students’ unique gifts and take opportunities to help them be known. Bible curriculum is intended to help strengthen a child’s relationship with Jesus through age-appropriate object lessons, scripture memory, and special projects in addition to our weekly Chapel and Worship.
OUR GOAL: our students are ABLE
OUR STANCE ON HOMEWORK
We believe homework is an effective tool used to solidify concepts learned in class.
On average, we incrementally increase daily homework by 10-15 minutes per grade level, beginning in 1st grade.
NURTURING PERFORMANCE
We believe that every child has been created in God’s image, the SRVCA faculty strives to provide varied teaching methods to work with learners of different styles and giftedness. Challenging each child to do their very best and celebrating their achievements help children feel valued and loved.
ACADEMIC RESOURCES
SRVCA’s resource program offers Christian education to students who learn in different ways. Currently, we support students diagnosed with mild differentiated learning styles. Resource Specialists partner with the public school system to help coordinate private specialists' review and continuation of established IEP/505 plans.
CLASS SIZE
Our class sizes cap between 16 - 24 students, with small increases in Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd and 6th grades.
STUDIO WORKSHOP
Studio workshop helps integrate art and STEM activities in a special enrichment class offered twice a week. Collaboration and hands-on learning inspire children to creatively use higher-order thinking skills and creative expression.
