VOLUNTEERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The difference between a good school and a great school can often be attributed to its parent volunteers. With parent participation in school functions, all members of the community benefit. Opportunities to get involved in your child's education exist both inside the classroom and at all school events.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

PARENT SERVICE HOURS

Parent involvement is essential to the health of our school and to the excellence of our students' academic experience. SRVCA requires 40 hours of volunteer service per family (20 hours for single parents), per school year.

In addition to classroom volunteering opportunities, many important all school events require the help of dedicated parent volunteers. Areas of involvement include Enrichment Aides, Lunch Duty, Parents in Prayer, Staff Appreciation Week, and many more.

BACKGROUND CHECK

For the protection of all concerned, SRVCA requires every volunteer working directly with students to be fingerprinted and submit to a LiveScan test conducted by the DOJ and FBI. We are committed to safety, not judgment. Any information obtained will be kept strictly confidential.

DRIVERS LICENSE/INSURANCE

All drivers for field trips and athletic events must submit a copy of their driver's license and insurance information which will be kept on file in the school office.
